Idag tänkte jag visa och berätta hur jag gör mina Konad-mönster, eftersom jag nästan alltid får förklara för folk jag träffar hur jag har fixat mina naglar.

Today I'm going to show and tell you how I do my Konad-patterns, since I almost always have to explain to people I meet how I've done my nails.

Jag börjar med att samla ihop det jag behöver: Nagellacksremover, tops, bomullsrondeller, nagelfil, basnagellack, mönsterlack, (överlack glömde jag, men det brukar också vara med), mönsterplatta, skrapa och stämpel.

I start by getting together everything I need: Nailpolish remover, q-tips, cotton pads, nail file, base polish, pattern polish, (I forgot the top coat for this picture, but I usually bring it out right away), pattern plate, scraper and stamper.

Sen tar jag bort allt gammalt lack och filar naglarna till önskad längd.

I then remove old polish and file the nails to the length I want them.

Sedan målar jag naglarna i basfärgen, två lager räckte med denna (Depend nail polish i färgen 245)

I then paint my nails in the base polish, two coats was enough for this one (Depend nail polish in 245)

Därefter rengör jag min mönsterplatta (på bilden har jag Bundlemonster BM-213, men jag bytte sedan till Konad m60) med en bomullsrondell och lite nagellacksborttagning, och målar sedan mönstret jag har valt med mönsterlacket (Konad special nail polish i svart).

After that I clean off my pattern plate (it's Bundlemonster BM-213 on the picture, but I switched to Konad m60 later) with a cotton pad and some nail polish remover, and paint the pattern polish (Konad special nail polish in black) onto the pattern I've chosen.

Sedan tar jag skrapan och skrapar bort det överflödiga lacket med skrapan i ca 45° vinkel.

I then take the scraper and scrape off the polish, holding the scraper at a 45° angle.

Sedan tar jag stämpeln och "plockar upp" mönstret genom att rulla den över plattan. Detta bör göras ganska fort eftersom lacket torkar ganska fort.

I then take the stamper and "pick up" the pattern by rolling it over the plate. This should be done quite quickly since the polish dries pretty fast.

Dessvärre ville inte mönstret jag hade valt fastna riktigt så som det ska, så därför bytte jag platta. Så här ska det se ut om allt gått rätt till.

Unfortunately the pattern I had chosen didn't stick quite as well as it should, which is why I changed to a different plate. This is what it should look like if everything has been done right.

Sedan "rullas" mönstret på nageln, på samma sätt som det "plockas upp" från plattan. Det lyckades jag tyvärr inte fota eftersom jag inte har tre händer, men såhär ser det ut efter i alla fall.

The pattern is then "rolled" onto the nail, in the same way it was "picked up" from the plate. Unfortunately I couldn't take a picture of that since I don't have three hands, but this is what it looks like after, anyway.

Efter ett lager överlack (Seche Vite Dry fast top coat) tar jag tops doppade i nagellacksborttagning och rengör kanterna.

After a coat of top coat (Seche Vite Dry fast top coat) I take q-tips dipped in nail polish remover and clean up the edges.

Sen är det klart!
